Kindness Animal Hospital has served Durango and the surrounding areas for over 15 years. We pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive spectrum of traditional and complementary medical methods. Founded and led by our dedicated veterinarian Dr. Claire Lodahl, our team has a simple mission: to provide high quality and compassionate care for all clients and patients.
We are proud to have clients that regularly bring their pets to see Dr. Lodahl from 4-5 hours away rather than visit a closer vet. Our team will always provide the same dedicated veterinary care to our patients, no matter how near or far.

Meet Dr. Claire Lodahl
Dr. Claire Lodahl graduated in 1980 from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Dr. Lodahl has worked with small animal and mixed/large animal practices in Upstate New York, Idaho, Alaska, and Colorado. Some of her more unusual experiences included working on Iditarod sled dog teams in Alaska, consulting on alternative therapies for horses in Ireland, and speaking on her experience with alternative therapies at international conferences. Kindness Animal Hospital opened on January 1st, 2007, and is now a small animal only practice, working with dogs and cats.

Situated just south of Durango, near the Durango Airport, our clinic is easily accessible via Highway 172. Whether you reside in Durango, Bayfield, Aztec, Farmington, Ignacio, or the neighboring regions, our location is designed to serve you. We understand the importance of convenience when it comes to your pet’s healthcare.
